What is happening in the market? - November
Typical market seasonality was completely upended in 2020 due to the pandemic; however, more normal seasonal trends have returned in 2021. As the year begins to wind down and move into the holidays, the market typically slows down as well with the number of new listings declines, to finally plunge in December. Price reductions often jump, and some listings, especially more expensive homes, are pulled off the market until the market wakes up in the new year- usually late January to early February. For buyers, the coming months may offer opportunities in the form of reduced completion, less overbidding, and more room to negotiate.
