Happy June!

Aloha Everyone!

After a brief shoulder season, Hawaii is ready for the summer peak season. It will be interesting to see how the real state market fares this summer.

May was a productive and exciting month. Great closings, graduation, and I made many meaningful acquaintances during my trip to Santa Monica.

The biggest event for our family was, of course, our younger daughter's graduation from junior high school.

The stage decoration with flowers from the school backyard looked amazing(above photo). And seeing kids exchanging so many intricate and beautiful leis was very moving especially since we know most kids since kindergarten.  There are so many different types of leis. I admire the imagination and techniques of those who can create flower leis.
REALM Global Collective, a three-day event in Sanat Monica, brought together the best real estate professionals in the world.  As a "Founding Member," it was truly an honor to share the space and collaborate with the best in the business! I also had the pleasure of sharing my Virtual Reality endeavor with REALM members for two days. The experience was priceless.

The Virtual Reality event did not stop at REALM. Compass and I hosted a kickoff preview event for the Metaverse Broker Open

at Compass-Santa Monica.  It was an amazing experience to share my VR journey with so many tech-conscious Compass agents.
Thanks to all those who came out!

Kona Market Update

June 2022

We are almost at halfway mark of 2022. Here is the latest market on the Kona and Hawaii Big Island.

This month, the single-family home market saw a big jump in the number of active home listings.  The inventory increased by 46% compared to last month; however, the level of inventory is still 40% of the Pre-pandemic level.  The YTD median price hit a new plateau, $1,100,000

The inventory level of the condo market has not changed much.  The YTD condominium median price is also steady at $525,000.

We hear about a "market shift" from the mainland. So far, the Hawaii market is strong.

Less Is More: Creating a Minimalist Living Room

Minimalist interior design translates to more than an uncluttered, sparsely decorated room. Birthed from modern design, minimalism embraces simplicity, reducing an interior to what’s necessary for the space to function well. But this clean, no-fuss style doesn’t need to feel uninviting. Balance and warmth are crucial to delivering the elevated beauty this style can create.
