Still-Strong Inflation Will Delay Fed Rate Cuts
The March consumer price index report was stronger than expected, sending interest rates higher, as it implied further delay before the Federal Reserve’s first interest rate cut. The lack of progress on inflation means the Fed will not be cutting interest rates until its July 31 meeting at the earliest.

What's Real About Recent Real Estate Headlines?

As you may have seen or heard, there is a proposed settlement by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). While the settlement still requires final approval, there have been plenty of headlines in the media causing confusion. To clarify some of the misinformation about the settlement, I want to provide a few facts:
If approved, the terms of this settlement will undoubtedly impact certain facets of the residential real estate industry. Our hope is that any changes will provide an opportunity to enhance the professionalism of the industry across the country and elevate Realtors® to the standards we at Compass have always held ourselves to.

Real Estate is a relationship-based business, and the trust we’ve earned with our clients is something we greatly value. Together, we will navigate any changes to rules and regulations in our industry while continuing to provide our clients with the same exceptional service we always have.

Ignore the Boss Bill
A California bill would let workers ignore their bosses during off hours. So-called “right to disconnect” laws have already made headlines overseas. If passed, California would be the first state in the U.S. to try it.

According to world traveler Jessie Romberg, AKA The Homeless Backpacker, Peru ranks tops all around country in South America.
After exploring 12 countries over the course of the last 2 years, he claims that Peru is the most diverse, fun, beautiful, travel friendly, multifaceted, culturally rich and overall best country to visit in this region of the world. Some of Jessie's highlights are below. For food, friendliness and affordability check out his Instagram page HERE.

-The amount of different natural landscapes you can experience here is truly mind blowing. There is almost every variation of nature in Peru from the highest snow peaks, to vast deserts, to the jungles of the Amazon and everything in between. -The culture and history of Peru is as interesting and rich as anywhere in the world. You will find traces of the Incan Empire everywhere you turn, the Spanish colonial architecture and modern day Latin American culture. Jessie says, "I LOVED every country I visited in Latin America. Each one is so special and unique and just because Peru is my favorite doesn’t take away anything from any other country, people, culture or cuisine."
