Bidding War Strategies



When purchasing a home in a seller’s market, buyers naturally want to make their offer stand out from the rest. In many cases, multiple buyers are vying for the same property and end up in a bidding war. In fact, one of the primary reasons longtime home searchers have not yet closed on a house is because they are repeatedly outbid, according to the National Association of Home Builders. A 2021 report from the organization found that 45 percent of potential homebuyers said being outbid was the biggest challenge they faced in their search.  More Here.

The Garfield Park Conservatory’s 2022 Spring Flower Show “Knock Knock” is a fun, playful reprieve from the long Chicago winter. Beautiful blooming flowers, including tulips, hydrangeas, daffodils, and hyacinth, will be featured this year. Margie's Candies Turns 100 in 2021 | Bucktown

While the shop was originally opened as an ice cream parlor in 1921 by Peter George Poulos, it became Margie’s Candies in 1933, when his son George renamed the store after his wife, whom he had met at the shop when they were younger. After his death in 1954, she took over the store and was frequently seen creating the candies herself. The store hosted celebrities like the Beatles, musician Liz Phair and, allegedly, the infamous Chicago mobster Al Capone.  More Here.
