"February is just plain malicious. It knows your defenses are down." Katherine Paterson February is usually pretty bleak in the DMV (as evidenced by the rise in your friends' social media pics of Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Florida). It's not all bad though! We don't see anyone complaining about the abundance of 60+ degree days this year, and lest ye forget - February is the month for Love (Valentine’s Day Feb 14) and Sazeracs (Mardi Gras Feb 21)! So go ahead - snuggle on the couch a little longer and finish up that mini-series, people, because Spring is coming - it always does - and there’s NOTHING better than Spring in DC! - jeanne, phil, meg, alex, annie and christine

The Top 2023 Bathroom Trends
"Bathroom design in 2023 will continue to build on themes emerging since 2020, including clean lines, easy-maintenance materials, and heavy doses of natural colors. At the same time, an underlying current is shifting our view of bathrooms from task-focused spaces to rooms designed for comfort. According to Jean-Jacques L’Henaff, a design expert with LIXIL Global Design, the bathroom has transformed into a space focused on health, wellness, and relaxation. At the same time, larger home design trends are influencing aesthetic styles. As a result, personalization is driving a lot of the design choices, encouraging homeowners to create comfortable rooms with custom bathing experiences."

JPM Partner Jeanne’s brother, Bruce Hurlbrink, was a proud Special Olympian who LOVED to swim (longtime Cheverly Pool members will recall his annual visits). He always had a hug and a smile for everyone, and was a fan of the Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer team, the Bucs, Mickey Mouse, Sesame Street, spaghetti, Diet Coke, and the color red.
