December 2024

Dear All,

IMAGINE the CHANGE.

Change - we love change. And we hate change.

Without change, without stepping out of our comfort zone, we wouldn't learn, and we wouldn't grow. Changes are emotionally charged and an upcoming change fills us with fear - humans are hardwired to shun change. Have you ever found yourself thinking:

"I should have done [fill in the blank] years ago, much sooner. I'm so glad I finally dared - why did I wait so long to take that step?!"

Having a child, getting a pet (or a car), transitioning into a new job, dedicating more time to do what you really love, end an abusive relationship, starting an exercise routine, making a budget, getting married (or divorced), buying a house, saying no...

To IMAGINE is free. You can do it any place, at any time. Paint a picture in your mind. Breathe into it and listen to what this feels like. This gift has been given to every human being. How would I feel, if.... what difference would it make if I.... what would my life look and feel like, if I dared to........

If you consider doing something courageous, and you hesitate - how will you know if you would have succeeded, if you never take the step that changes your life. Imagining without action is daydreaming, and withdrawing from life. Imagining with the desire to get a very clear and vivid picture which will be your base to take action from - nothing is more powerful than that. Either you'll be successful, or you'll learn. Both are worthwhile.

While 2024 is coming to a close, one thing is certain: 2025 will bring new changes. Embracing change will breath life into you.

The serenity prayer never stops ringing true:

God, grant me the SERENITY to accept what I cannot change,

to have the COURAGE to change the things I can,

and to have the WISDOM to know the difference!

Happy Holidays To You and Yours!

Warmly,

sue
