New York City - not exactly the easiest city to get things done or agreed to - has had a major breakthrough in revising archaic zoning laws that restricted construction. Its CITY OF YES program could create as many as 80,000 housing units by increasing density in many areas while still retaining historic district's character, etc. Collaborating delivers practical outcomes: The plan went through public review in 2024, with input from community boards, borough presidents, and the City Planning Commission.

Bank of America expects the Fed to hold interest rates steady this year and into next year, according to CEO Brian Moynihan. However, traders bet The Fed is likely to resume cutting interest rates in June and could reduce short-term borrowing costs again in September, after a widely watched survey showed consumer confidence dove in February, and inflation expectations surged. Consumers have taken quite a while to adjust to higher - not high - mortgage interest rates. (PS: High is 15-18%!) Most of these people were spoiled by the super-low rates of 2020-2021, but forget that those rates were in place to offset a global pandemic, epic supply chain disruptions, etc. Yes, low rates are mostly enacted to help fuel
a weakened economy.

A new Testimonial
"Thank you so very much, Sue, for your excellent guidance, leadership, expansive knowledge of the industry and quiet patience throughout this entire process. Truly, I would have been lost and given up multiple times. Throughout, you have enabled a calming and stable atmosphere when the unexpected occurred. You heard my frustrations and challenges (and created positivity and hope out of that!) and were present for me in every circumstance!
Sue’s compassion, strategizing, negotiation finesse, and know-how helped me reach my goal. It could not have come to fruition without her steady vision of where that special point on the horizon really was - and how I should get there. My recommendation that you engage Sue Mathys to be your real estate agent comes without hesitation or reservation. If you want your entire journey from ‘thinking about’ to ‘purchase of’ a home of your own in New York City to be an experience of transparency and support, work with Sue!" - Walter D.
