About Nelson
Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Nelson Batchelor brings his southern hospitality and professionalism to us here at Realty Austin. Nelson has a strong business background graduating from the University of Alabama and working for the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. His growth in the Real Estate industry is no surprise given his level of service and knowledge provided to his clients. Through his previous experiences, commitment to learning and support from Realty Austin, Nelson has created a strong foundation for success.
After graduating with a degree in Business Management, Nelson packed everything he could into his crew cab truck and set out for Jackson Hole, Wy. It was in Jackson Hole he joined the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. There he learned the true definition of customer service. After a couple years in the mountains, Nelson decided to move closer to home and chose Austin as his next destination. During just a week long stay in Jackson Hole, a family grew to like and trust Nelson to the extent of them offering him their home here in Austin as a place to stay for the first month of his transition to the new city (which was gladly accepted)!
After transferring to the Four Seasons Austin and continuing his work in the hospitality industry, he found it was not for him. Trying to find the perfect balance of running a business while still interacting heavily with clients, he found Real Estate to be his calling. After spending his first two and a half years with a smaller local brokerage, Nelson joined the Realty Austin team to take his career to the next level.
In the summer of 2014, Nelson decided to become a first-time homebuyer. Only 11 months later, he decided to become an investor by acquiring a second property. His ability to help clients buy, sell, rent or invest has given him the opportunity to help hundreds of people over the past few years. If you are looking for a studio apartment or want to acquire the entire complex then lease it out (and everything in between), Nelson has you covered.
