Our affinity groups and department clubs are open to all employees, agents, and allies. They celebrate the diversity in our community with dedicated support from our Diversity Council. Each group builds awareness and advocacy through initiatives and programs within Compass.
Our recruitment and retention strategies further our goal of creating greater representation across the company.
One of our commitments as a company is to create internship programs with premiere nonprofits focused on providing professional development opportunities for diverse talent.
We have partnered with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity for this initiative. SEO is a nonprofit organization that makes a lifetime of achievement possible for underserved and underrepresented communities.
Our sponsorship initiative strives to increase diversity representation and helps recognize, retain, and promote underrepresented-in-tech employees (Black, Latinx, and Women). Studies show that engagement and retention increase when organizations have mentorship or sponsorship programs for their employees.
Through the program, participants should feel a greater sense of investment from their team into their career, more confidence in their networks both laterally and in senior leadership, and have clearly defined goals and next steps.
This program seeks to create more opportunities for agents from our underrepresented communities by providing support, partnerships, and access to education and mentorship, critical components of a successful career in real estate.
We're taking action to support underserved communities through impactful engagement.
This program consists of seminars focused on how to build wealth through real estate. It is designed to ensure that Compass is taking strides to help create equity in the homeownership process for all communities.
The Pledge, initiated by our Founder and CEO Robert Reffkin, is a commitment to contribute 15% of our company and agent real estate vendor spend to Black professionals in order to increase investment within the community.
In an effort to demystify the real estate industry and build longer-term pipelines, we partnered with Historically Black Colleges and Universities to host virtual career fairs.
