About Lars

Lars Hamilton specializes in the Seacoast area with a deliberate, market savvy approach to listings and purchases. Based in Portsmouth but frequently criss-crossing New England, he has closed deals from Portsmouth to Portland, and is highly knowledgable in the mountains and ski destinations to the north.

Born and raised on the New Hampshire Seacoast, Lars spent his childhood summers surfing the beaches of Rye and his winters skiing in the White Mountains. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for New Hampshire's diverse outdoor spaces and seasons.

His desire to maintain proximity to the ocean and mountains while continuing his education led him to the Paul College of Business and Economics at UNH. In Durham, Lars studied Marketing, Finance, and Spanish. He studied international business and Spanish in Barcelona, and worked in Marketing at Red Bull throughout college. This jump started a career in brand and event marketing, before he transitioned into cybersecurity software sales.

With 4 years of sales and marketing experience under his belt, he desired a greater connection between his work and the communities he had centered his life around. A longtime passion for homes, design, and the markets inspired him to pursue Real Estate as a full-time career. After earning his New Hampshire and Maine licenses, Lars joined the Brick & Barn | Compass team in Portsmouth and quickly made his mark.

In just a few short years, Lars has proven himself an invaluable resource for his clients and a true local expert. His passion and knowledge of the area that shaped him are evident from the very first conversation. He’s experienced negotiating deals for his first time home buyers, and sold everything from historic properties to luxury new construction homes.
