Karin O’Quinn, a 20-year Vail Valley resident, has joined Compass Real Estate as a Broker Associate in its Vail Village office.Originally born in Zomba, Malawi, and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, O’Quinn graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Journalism. Initially drawn to Vail for its world-class skiing, she fell in love with the year-round lifestyle. After a brief tenure in Washington, D.C., with a software company, she relocated to Denver in 1995, purchased a second home in Vail in 2002, and became a full-time resident in 2007 to support her daughters’ education at the Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy.O’Quinn’s real estate career began with a role in the Town of Avon’s building department, where she gained valuable insights into construction and development. Licensed as a real estate professional in 2015, she initially focused on fractional ownership and timeshares before transitioning to the luxury residential market, serving both buyers and sellers in the Vail Valley.With extensive experience across multiple facets of real estate, O’Quinn brings a comprehensive perspective to Compass Real Estate, offering clients unparalleled expertise and a deep understanding of the Vail Valley’s appeal as both a seasonal and year-round destination.Outside of her professional endeavors, O’Quinn enjoys hiking, biking, stand-up paddle boarding, skiing, and exploring new adventures.
