Ryan Nelson

Growing up in Glenview and living in Barrington, Ryan has spent the last 20 years working the luxury real estate market. Ryan’s lifetime passion for real estate and architecture makes him extremely adept at understanding the needs of his clients. He also has a keen eye for landscape design and and shares his passion and knowledge with his clients in finding them the perfect home. 

Ryan started working in 6th grade as a golf caddie, giving him drive, integrity, and a “never quit attitude”, that he brings to his clients today. Ryan’s diverse work background allowed him to develop extremely strong networking spheres and relationships. He got his first taste for real-estate working at Arizona Land Advisors assisting land brokers. Then, after managing the East Bank Club in Chicago for 18 years he came back to his true calling, real estate sales. Ryan worked as the Director of Sales for a top producing team in Chicago, helping them grow to average between $100 and $150 million dollars a year in sales. Ryan joined the Compass family this year, bringing his talent to Heidi Seagren’s team Barrington, where he resides with his wife, Holly! 

Ryan’s passion to help his clients through his tenacity and relationship skills, translates to repeat clients and referrals. He is also passionate about nature and wildlife conservation. He volunteers his time with Citizens for Conservation and loves going to local farmers markets, always advocating to support small businesses and shopping locally. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys the outdoors, snowboarding, working out, and implementing new design ideas into this own yard and home. He also enjoys time with his dogs Blue and Porcupine. Relaxing at his home away from home is Door County, Wisconsin. Ryan is never too busy for your real estate questions and is eager to support you in your home buying and selling experience.
