About Tika
Born and raised in Montreal and later based in Toronto, Tika Van Den Hurk
relocated with her family to Fort Lauderdale in 2013. Long before making South
Florida her home, she was already immersed in real estateābuying, selling, and
redeveloping properties in Canadaāan experience that gave her the foundation
to seamlessly transition into luxury real estate full time. Over the past decade, she
has built a thriving business specializing in waterfront estates, condos, and
investment properties, consistently ranking among the top 5% of Realtors in
South Florida.
An entrepreneur at heart, Tika launched her first business at just 25 years old in
fashion sales and distribution, working with retailers across Canada. In 2007, she
and her husband co-founded Peacey Systems, a technology support company
that grew exponentially and today serves Fortune 500 clients. These ventures
sharpened her skills in negotiation, client service, and long-term strategyāall of
which she brings to her real estate practice.
Most recently, Tika served as Senior Director of Luxury Sales at Douglas Elliman,
where she was entrusted with some of the regionās most prestigious projects,
including the Four Seasons Residences Fort Lauderdale. She also integrates a
holistic dimension into her work as both a Certified Feng Shui Specialist and Reiki
Master, helping clients create homes that balance energy, well-being, and
financial value.
Today, Tika is proud to align her business with Compass, where advanced
