I’m Al Pratte with Compass. I help North Metro Atlanta sellers evaluate their home, prioritize preparation, and develop a pricing and marketing strategy suited to their property.

Originally from Rhode Island, I began my real estate journey as an investor and contractor before earning my license in 2003. What began as a personal passion evolved into a full-time career built on service, strategy, and trust.

With more than two decades of experience, I understand that a move involves more than a property. For longtime homeowners, seniors, and their families, it can bring emotional and logistical considerations that deserve time and thoughtful attention. As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist®, I help clients understand their options and navigate the process with clear information and steady support.

That commitment also led me to found the Seniors Agent Institute, where I share educational resources to help real estate professionals better serve senior homeowners and their families.

After relocating to Georgia in 2020, I established my business in the North Metro Atlanta market. While affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, I earned the Honor Society Award in 2022 and the Leading Edge Society Award in 2024, placing me among the top 9% of agents in its global network.

At Compass, I combine strategic marketing, negotiation experience, and practical guidance to help clients make informed decisions. Whether preparing a longtime home for sale, marketing a luxury property, or coordinating a purchase and sale, I tailor my approach to the property and the people involved. My commitment to service continues beyond closing.

Community involvement is also an important part of my life. I’m a member of the Lanier/Forsyth Rotary Club and serve on the board of the Forsyth County Arts Alliance. Both reflect my belief in contributing to the communities where we live and work.

Outside real estate, I enjoy traveling with my wife, Becky, working out, and playing bocce with friends. Becky and I are proud 2023 Atlanta State Bocce Champions, and our two pugs, Maverick and Goose, are never far from the action.

My experience working in multiple states has given me a broader perspective and a network of professional relationships to support clients with local moves and relocation.
