Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a home in Rough Hollow first. Being new to Austin, they appreciated Alan’s direct and specific appraisals of the properties they considered very much. Based on his experience, familiarity with neighborhoods, and sense of the current market and likely future resale values, he would tell them when he thought a house wasn’t right for them and why. When they found the right home in Rough Hollow, Alan did advance work with the realtor on the other side, and they acquired the home for a very good price.

Naturally, when we also decided to purchase in Austin, we too reached out to Alan and Tanis. Before we found Alan and Tanis, we had a friend of a friend list our house and were so frustrated at her lack of marketing and general concern for our listing that we let her go after 30 days. The next day when we met Alan at his office we were on our way out of town to our current home but he went right over to the house we wanted to sell with us to make a checklist of things that need to happen to have an attractive listing.
