Brooklyn knows Alex Calabretta – and Alex Calabretta knows Brooklyn. As a life-long, third generation Brooklynite, Alex intimately knows and understands the neighborhoods and the people in them. He grew up in Carroll Gardens, supported and raised by a loving Italian community who taught him about hard work, integrity, and how to truly and actively care for others. The neighborhood may look a little different these days, but Alex still believes in the values he learned there – values he’s passing on to his three children.

Now a 20-year veteran of real estate in both sales and rentals, Alex got his start in advertising. He achieved his marketing degree from the School of Visual Arts and spent years in the fast-paced ad industry, where he gained an essential firsthand experience of sales, art, and design. Soon, however, he heard of the call of the brownstones of his beloved Brooklyn. Alex began his real estate career in a small but knowledgeable mom-and-pop agency, where he learned the minutiae of Brooklyn real estate from the ground up.

For Alex, real estate isn’t just selling and renting – it's interior design and branding, as well as advising, detective work, and research. He treats each listing and client with dedicated care and attention, from the first meeting to the last. His proactive, hands-on approach to his business means he personally does or oversees everything from staging and photography to creating custom marketing materials to personal pre-inspections. He works closely with everyone involved in a transaction at any level to ensure that every step of the process is as easy and stress-free for his clients as possible.
