I've worked with many real estate agents over the years, and Alex is at the top of my list. If you're serious about buying or renting a property in SF, do yourself a favor and contact Alex Kaufman. Alex is a true pro. He's a super nice guy. He's funny and more important, he's supremely knowledgeable about SF real estate and is entirely straightforward. Buying a house is not an easy process, and it can become emotional. Alex listens, doesn't waste your time with properties that don't fit your specifications and gives excellent, well-considered advice, even when it may not be something you want to hear. He simply wants you to get the best house and the most value! Finally, and critically, Alex is schooled in the art of the transaction. He will work tirelessly to get you the best deal and will see it through to closing - and then he will go beyond to tie up any loose ends. I can't recommend Alex highly enough.

"Alex is a hardworking, trustworthy and effective agent - and has a great sense of humor, which is essential in this crazy market. After providing an exhaustive tour the various established and up-and-coming neighborhoods of SF, he helped me narrow my search to the more established neighborhoods that I knew and liked. After identifying the right property, he helped me move quickly and decisively. Alex's keen sense of the market-clearing price helped position our offer to carry the day. I could not have done it without him. Furthermore, Alex was willing to go above and beyond standard broker duties. This was especially valuable in dealing with an evasive and unreliable lender. He helped assuage the concerns of the selling agent when our timeline was extended due to the false promises of my chosen lender. Alex remained by my side as a guide and advocate throughout the entire process and I felt as though I always had his full attention. He even helped me dispose of an open bucket of paint thinner left by the seller's staging company - no easy task. A stand up guy and true mensch."- Dan B., Nob Hill condo buyer & seller represented by Alex
"Alex did a remarkable job selling my co-op. This type of transaction had many nuances and required working with building management. Alex navigated this effectively and diplomatically. He had a strong pricing and marketing strategy that played out well. He kept me well informed during the showings and the sales process. He's got an arsenal of talented people that help prep and stage the unit. Additionally, we had a good time going through the hoops together."- Janet N., Seller at 1333 Jones St represented by Alex
"Alex was fantastic to work with and helped me sell my loft for an excellent price. He was always available for me and created great marketing materials. Alex was essential in helping me get the place ready for sale and was willing to be available to let workers in when I was not able to, even managing the repairs/refresh details when I was out of town. Prior to selling my loft Alex had found me fantastic, professional and trustworthy tenants when I was renting my place out. I definitely can recommend him."- Julie R., Seller at 250 Clara St represented by Alex
"Alex went above and beyond the call of duty in selling our SOMA condo/loft. He was thorough and helpful and made the whole process quite easy for us, which was important as we were out of town owners. We got above asking price, which was great and I was certain that he was giving us his full attention and going the extra mile and that he knew the market well. I recommend him wholeheartedly."- Mary M. J., SoMa loft seller represented by Alex Kaufman
"Alex Kaufman is AWESOME. We were relocating to the city and had a ton of questions. He helped us find the perfect place and answered every question with knowledge. After moving in, he followed up with us several times over the first month just to make sure everything was ok and that we were happy. We would definitely use him again and refer everyone to him." - Stacy N. , South Beach
Alex Kaufman is a true pro. I've worked with him to find a new apartment on two separate occasions and he has been terrific. He is prompt, knowledgeable and straight to the point. In short, he's a good listener, won't waste your time and will find you the place you want. Finding a new place in SF is no fun, and using an agent isn't cheap. So, retain someone who you'll like and feel like you got your money's worth!
