"Selling my house was not the easiest task for Alicia. My ex-husband and I divorced in December of 2018, and the sale of the house was a part of the settlement. "Alicia is wonderful. In 2017, she helped us sell a home, a condo, and purchase our new home. We were very pleased with her professionalism, ideas, and advice. We had a life event that caused us to move to Arizona and had to put our newly purchased home on the market within a year of our purchase. We decided to list it with a different agent (I had some trepidation but was willing to give it a try. It was an agent referred to my husband by his close associate). It sat on the market and didn't sell. We received multiple offers in the first week and several after, but each one didn't come to fruition. We listed it for the same amount we purchased it for and even reduced it after two months on the market.
We were forced to rent the property in October 2018 after months of it sitting empty, and we were able to find a tenant successfully. In August 2019, I received a phone call from one of our neighbors letting me know that our property was not being taken care of well by the tenant. I gave notice to the tenant and immediately asked Alicia to help me through the process and decided to list it even though it was not the height of the sales season.
I flew down in October, and she met me at the property and helped me deal with the tenant (who had not evacuated the property even though he was supposed to have). Being out of town, it helped to have Alicia on my side as she oversaw the repairs (tenant had caused some damage to the property) and kept me in the loop. She gave me very sound advice on what repairs we should complete and which ones we should offer as a rebate. She kept up with the companies that were doing the repairs and made sure everyone was on the timeline. The house was finally ready to be listed at the beginning of December.
She was able to get us multiple offers by working diligently with other agents. We received an offer for our asking price and are happy to share that the house has been sold. It couldn't have been done without Alicia's help. This was a very stressful time for us, and having Alicia on my side meant fewer headaches, less stress, and peace of mind.
