Alison Holsten

A founding member of The Karen Strid Team, Alison Holsten has been a key part of the group’s success since its inception in 2016. Joining shortly after earning her real estate license, Alison worked alongside Karen Strid during the team's earliest stages, helping to establish the professional standards that define the team today. 

In late 2025, The Karen Strid Team joined Compass Main Line after 11 successful years at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach. This transition follows a landmark year where the team was ranked the #1 small team in the U.S. in the third quarter and concluded the year with $150 million in total sales volume.

Alison’s longevity with the team provides her with an intuitive understanding of the Main Line market that enhances the level of service she provides to her clients. She balances personalized attention with clients, offers extensive resources, has relationships with a large sphere and maximizes her expertise of a high-volume team. Known for her steady approach and deep local knowledge, Alison is dedicated to guiding her clients through the complexities of every transaction.

An entrepreneur who grew up in a real estate family, Alison's career began in prevention programming with Main Line Health. She then transitioned into high-end commercial marketing with a leading privately owned redevelopment company. She also spent years as a successful business owner, founded a boutique vintage jewelry company that was voted “Best of the Main Line” for multiple consecutive years. Alison’s pivot to residential real estate was inspired by personal experience; after she and her husband successfully purchased, renovated, and resold a bayfront home in Avalon, she felt driven to help others navigate their own real estate journeys.

A Chester County native and Academy of Notre Dame alumna, Alison holds a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University. She continues to leverage her marketing eye and deep local roots to provide a professional, seamless experience for every client.

Alison resides in Malvern with her husband, Bill, a graduate of Tulane University and Widener Law School. Bill is the Managing Partner of RedPoint Capital, a third-party marketing firm specializing in alternative investments. Their four children, Paige, Brooke, Maeve and Jack attend(ed) Texas Christian University, Notre Dame Academy and Malvern Prep. In the summer, Alison enjoys spending time with family in Avalon, NJ.
