Amanda Barton

Amanda Scanlan Barton was born and raised in Media, PA. She attended the Holy Child School at Rosemont and graduated from the Agnes Irwin School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English from George Washington University.

After a successful marketing career working for New York City based fashion brands like GUESS?, Nautica and Aeropostale and later for multimedia retailer, QVC, she ignited her entrepreneurial spirit as a small business owner with a Bryn Mawr clothing boutique. In 2010, she founded Barton South Communications, a marketing firm she co-owned for nearly a decade.

Amanda joined top luxury agent, and dear friend, Danielle O’Connor, at Compass RE, knowing her marketing background and extensive network and knowledge of her market would lend itself to a career in real estate. Amanda is driven, energetic, and personable, which has helped catapult her successful real estate business. In 2022, she joined the team at Beach to Bay in Avalon, New Jersey, to help her clients buy and sell homes in her happy place. 

Amanda and her husband, Bear, a Bryn Mawr native and Villanova University graduate, reconnected in New York City and slowly made their way back to the Philadelphia suburbs where they were both raised. Bear is founding partner of Apt Management, a real estate investment and management company that focuses on multifamily apartments. Amanda and Bear reside in Berwyn, PA with their sons, Jake and Cole, who attend The Haverford School, their daughter, Kyle, who attends Agnes Irwin and their two rescue dogs, Petey and Carby.
