Amanda Cooksey

Amanda Cooksey moved to Lake Charles in 1998 to begin her college journey, and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the Lake Area. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from McNeese State University in 2002, she made Lake Charles her permanent home. In 2003, she married her high school and college sweetheart, Brandon, and together, they’ve built their life there.

Her career began with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, where she proudly served as a corrections officer in the corrections division from 2002 to 2003. She graduated from the CPSO Corrections Academy in 2003, which laid the foundation for her professional journey. While she was offered opportunities in the medical field and the refinery industry, it was in 2012, after the birth of their daughter, that she made a leap of faith into real estate full-time—a decision she has never regretted.

Since then, Amanda has dedicated herself to helping her clients navigate the real estate market with the same commitment and passion she brings to all aspects of her life. She is fortunate to be surrounded by a supportive network of family and friends from all walks of life, all of whom understand that her cell phone and laptop are always within reach, ready to assist her clients whenever needed.
