Amelia came to be a real estate advisor by way of a career in renovation and interior design. After moving to SoCal from Chicago in 2002, Amelia and her then-aspiring TV writing husband John, renovated 5 1920s-era homes in 4 yrs. Those were fun, creative projects that sparked a passion for the incredibly varied architecture of our region. SoCal has a wealth of local resources—from tile studios to salvage yards to native plant nurseries, to name a few—that help make a home feel both special and timeless. She immersed herself in this world.

Those early house flips led to client referrals for interior design projects—as well as many asks to weigh-in on prospective home purchases. Becoming a licensed Realtor was a logical extension of Amelia’s skills. After all, she is quick to identify what makes a home special, to make note of quality finishes and what improvements large and small will provide value and enjoyment after the close. For her sellers, Amelia offers an eye towards maximizing profits through a hands-on approach to staging, identifying pre-market fixes, freshening up outdoor spaces and obtaining superior photography to make listings shine. Most weekend mornings, Amelia can be found perusing the Hollywood Farmers Market, hiking in Griffith Park, or sizing up some beautiful finds at a SoCal swap meet. She, her husband John, and English bulldog Mae are 20 year residents of Los Feliz.
