"Our experience with Amy is night and day from our other experience selling another house remotely. Amy is a very skilled, dedicated, responsible agent who went out of her way to take care of our family. We lived in Washington and were selling a rental house out-of-state. Initially, she agreed to help us by overseeing a light remodel of the rental house after the tenants vacate: paint, carpet, small repairs. When she got the keys, she entered the home to a flooded main floor. The washing machine connection was left on (washer removed), and when the water company turned on the water with no one inside, the spigot blasted the main floor. Amy could have told us to contact her after we did the repairs, but she stayed with us by orchestrating all the repairs. Amy met with our insurance claims adjuster, the contractors who removed the water and fixed up these damages, coordinated more for other repairs and new flooring, paint, yard prep. The contractor through the insurance company was good in some areas, but they left a bucket to catch a leaky sink shutoff valve (= more damage) and didn’t complete their scope of work timely and thoroughly. Amy, on her own without my asking, checked everyone’s work. She sent me photos and videos to help with insurance claims and other needs. Our family was under plenty of stress dealing with it, and she took a huge load off. When it came to the actually selling, Amy had a good plan, was thoroughly responsive when I had questions, and kept me in the loop. (We have sold several homes, so the process is not new). She lightly staged the home to soften the kitchen and bathrooms on her own since the price point of this house didn’t really warrant the expensive 3rd party staging. She priced it realistically, negotiated for higher option money, better price, and handled the inspection items professionally and smartly. Buyers were delayed by their lender, and at some point, she was going to give some of her commissions to help close the deal – in the end, it wasn’t necessary which we were glad because we wanted her to earn all the commissions.
