"We were most fortunate to have selected Amy Machado as our real estate agent. Amy is a delightful young woman, a true find in her industry. Amy is diligent in her approach to helping her clients. She worked with us even though it was quite challenging. She helped our son, who lives in LA, as well as my husband and I, who live in Florida. Getting everyone on the same page was taxing, especially because of the three hour time difference.
Amy accompanied us to many condos in a six month period, and eventually she helped us find a place that met all of our son's exacting and numerous specifications.
Always pleasant, encouraging, lovely, and kind, Amy traversed the many rigorous demands and expectations we held. Furthermore, Amy helped us traverse the escrow process, and offered us good advice on whom to hire post closing, e.g., painters, flooring professionals, moving companies, and handymen.
Amy's sweet demeanor belied the steeliness she demonstrated during negotiations. Her instinct on which places would work for our son was consistently on target. With her vast background in interior design, NOT decorating, an important distinction in my opinion, Amy could visualize how to work with the 'bones' of each condo.
Moreover, Amy frequently made herself available to us, i.e., she often trudged over to Playa Del Rey, she promptly and without complaint, answered phone calls, emails, which I admit were too numerous, and text messages. Although we knew we were not her only clients, we were made to feel we were her most important purchasers. We certainly did not get one of the higher end condos, but Amy did not distinguish between those wealthier clients and we, who were very budget conscious. When asked to revisit some of the homes which we had already visited, she did so without complaint.
Amy is a true professional, who is knowledgeable about the real estate market, as well as the closing and escrow processes. When it is time to sell this condo and move to the next place, our son will happily contact Amy again. Amy is a jewel (think diamond) in her field." - Judith E. Horowitz, Ph.D
