About Amy
Amy Wilkes, a California native, has been buying, renovating, remodeling, and selling houses in the Venice / Santa Monica area for over twenty years. From starter homes to Canal front masterpieces, dream homes North of Montana to fixer uppers and short sales, Amy has personally experienced them all, which gives her a solid understanding of her client’s needs and expectations.
Amy’s outgoing nature, her ability to instantly put total strangers at ease, and her dedication to addressing her client’s needs first and foremost, all contribute to making her an agent you can trust. While the home buying process can be overwhelming at times, Amy understands and strives to put her clients at ease with her attention to detail, her supportive and intuitive nature, and timely accessibility.
Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Amy graduated from USC’s School of Cinema-Television. This led to years of working in the studio system and with independent production companies, as a development executive, producer, writer and director. She even started her own production company The Arthouse, that produced a line of videos that teach children to draw. This is where she honed her people skills, learned to manage complex projects and large teams, and developed a network of influential friends across the Los Angeles area from the San Fernando Valley to Huntington Beach. After rebuilding her own home, she found her love for this creative and challenging endeavor, and decided to pursue real estate full time.
As a longtime resident of the West Side, she’s been involved as a volunteer in the community, schools, and local youth sports programs. She is ubiquitous on her children’s campus as a room rep, doing campus renovations, running fundraisers, and as a volleyball coach. Her two children happily attend school in the Santa Monica/Malibu public school district where she lives with her husband who is a successful film and television writer.
