Andrew Cotton

With a trusted reputation and proven track record, Andrew Cotton was strategically recruited in 2017 by Compass to be a Founding Agent for Orange County, CA. He introduced the first office in Newport Beach with 20 colleagues to its current success of 750+ agents and 8 offices. 

Prior to launching Compass, Andrew's career took root in Luxury Hospitality with a passion for service and detail. Tasked by the Irvine Company to create the guest experience for The Villas at Pelican Hill, Andrew developed and opened the Newport Coast resort in 2008. Achieving top global accolades, he continued to elevate service standards as the Butler Trainer before transitioning into real estate in 2010. 

Recognizing a demand for white-glove client relations, Andrew and his real estate partner, Christopher Bellot created a new division of an eminent local brokerage to offer luxury leasing with resort-like services. The innovative approach allowed new opportunities for homeowners and renters alike and set forth record high transactions throughout coastal Orange County. Expanding into sales, they reconnected the Hospitality world in 2012 by orchestrating and managing a real estate office within the Montage Laguna Beach Resort. The five-star experience provided guests all their real estate needs and generated direct marketing for local listings.

Andrew is a lifelong native to coastal Orange County and a 4th generation to Newport Beach. He ran Division I Cross Country and graduated from the University of San Diego in Philosophy. He is active in the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, community soccer league and enjoys interior design and architecture.
