Andy Wendt has closed over $100 million in Chicagoland area real estate transactions across 20 years in the business. While those numbers tell one story, here's the real one: Andy started and ran two successful real estate companies while helping hundreds of clients navigate everything from first-time home purchases to complex investments..

In early 2025, Andy brought his brokerage over to Compass and tripled his production that same year. Ask his clients and they’ll say: Andy knows when you’ve found the right place before you do, and he’s not afraid to tell you when you haven’t. Whether you’re figuring out if Avondale fits your lifestyle or weighing the investment potential of a Lakeview three-flat, he helps you make decisions that work financially and personally.

Andy's also the host of "Records and Real Estate," a podcast where he explores Chicago's music history through the lens of neighborhood development. One episode might feature the owner of an iconic venue discussing how Wicker Park evolved around the music scene; another dives into how a legendary restaurant shaped its surrounding area. It's his way of connecting with Chicago's vibrant music and business community while showcasing the stories behind the city's neighborhoods.

Andy oversees a property management company with a portfolio that ranges from single-family rentals to multi-unit buildings. He knows Chicago real estate from every angle – whether you're looking to buy your first condo, invest in rental properties, or need someone to manage what you already own.

Andy lives in Avondale with his wife Laura and their two children. Having grown up in Chicago’s suburbs before making the city home, he brings perspective on both markets. When he's not helping clients or recording podcast episodes, you'll find him spinning vinyl records, reading literature, catching a Cubs game or live music around the city, or exploring Chicago's neighborhoods. He believes every block has a story worth telling – and usually some great real estate opportunities too.
