"I've worked with agents before who I considered good at their craft. They listened and considered my needs and suggested homes that fit my criteria based on what the market had to offer. Then I worked with Ann. Ann's experience is impressive, but what matters is what she does with it. Ann's ability to assess a home, identify advantages and potential problems is next level. Her eye for details, the things she pointed out to me, and the questions she asked the seller's agent was well beyond anything I had experienced. Ann's network of vendors and specialists in the community was also impressive, and she used them on several occasions to help provide me with perspective on a repair or upgrade needed to a particular property. However, the real value came in her ability to put things into appropriate context - e.g., was a pro or a con to a home significant or less so? These assessments were done both with her understanding of my family's preferences and needs, as well as how a typical buyer might view it. Ann was able to do this because she listened and she made it a priority to get to know us. It seemed that Ann wanted to find us the perfect home as much as we did. I felt like I had a true expert advisor on my side. Writing the actual offer and dealing with any back and forth can be very stressful. Ann's communication through the process, including her follow up after the close, was exceptional. She followed through on everything she said, she did it timely, and I never had to wonder about status. Her advice was balanced and useful. She didn't just say what was possible, she always had ideas for a potential winning strategy and a thoughtful explanation for why. "Ann Ellison did a wonderful job selling the condo we inherited. We live out of town, and she went beyond the normal duties of a realtor to make it easier for us. Everything including the closing was done remotely to save us several 6 hour round trips. She even went out of her way to sell some things for us. Drawing upon her contacts, she arranged the emptying of the condo, donations, locksmith services, home improvements, and staging. Ann turned the property from an ordinary, worn condo into a bright, clean, welcoming, newly-painted, and carpeted sought-after space with new appliances that sold well above the asking price. "Ann Ellison has been our realtor through the sale of two homes. In 2001, Ann listed our first home while we explored the market, looked patiently with us at various homes for close to a year, and re-listed our home when we were finally ready to move, helping us find a buyer who met both our price and our timing constraints, working with all the relevant parties to bridge any remaining gaps.
When selling our second home, we never considered working with anyone other than Ann, who again worked patiently with us, this time over a span of 17 months. We were not in a position where we had to sell, so we were very particular in the price we were looking for, and the ways in which we wanted to market our home (limited open houses, etc.).
