Empathetic to the challenges of relocation, Ann Marie made the East Bay her home in 1993 after living in Geneva, Switzerland and Toronto, Canada. She began her real estate career in 1997, garnering the Rookie of the Year Award followed by many industry achievements and raving reviews from her clients ā€“ including being a 12th year recipient of the 5-Star Award which recognizes service professionals who provide quality services to their clients.

In 2005, Ann Marie and her husband Jim Walberg formed The Bay Area Team, specializing in luxury properties and global real estate. They are part of the national powerhouse real estate brokerage, Compass, where they remain a top team, and are also highly sought-after for their expertise in country/equestrian properties.

Ann Marie is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and a Corporate Relocation Specialist. These designations afford her the privilege of representing distinctive homes and estates worldwide, as well as assisting corporate relocation clients from major companies with selling or buying a home. Fluent in French and widely traveled, Ann Marie has a strong customer service background having worked for the United Nations and Geneva International Airport. This Southern California native earned a degree in Business and French from University of Colorado, Boulder. In Ann Marieā€™s spare time she enjoys hiking in the local regional parks, playing pickle ball, having dinner parties with dear friends and clients, traveling the world, and spending time with her husband/business partner and three adult children.
