Anne W. Cohen

I was born and raised in Middlesex county and raised my family in Bergen county. I am a Jersey Girl.

After graduating from NYU with a degree in Musical Theatre, I met my husband who was an accountant turned bandleader and for 25 years we made beautiful music together while raising our four boys.

During that period I was also called upon to take over my family's retail business which I kept going until we hit 70 yrs and then I opted to retire from retail and concentrate on real estate.

Several years ago we moved in to Canal Walk, a 55+ community in Somerset. We decided that we no longer wanted the responsibility of taking care of a large home and all that goes with it such as landscaping and snow removal. We wanted to enjoy this time in our lives. That move changed the trajectory of my life.  I was so happy living in an adult community that I got my real estate license and have built my business around sharing my joy with my clients.

The focus of my business is on the many adult communities in Morris, Middlesex and Somerset counties. I work closely with my clients through the entire downsizing process , including selling your existing home and finding you the perfect community to begin the next stage of your life. 

The more clients that I work with , the more I learn that in many cases there is more journey left in their lives. Sometimes they move closer to their children, independent living or assisted living.  I have made it my mission to learn all that I can about what choices are out there as we age and our needs change.  It has been an eye opening experience for me and I have made some life altering relationships along the way.
