Anya's real estate experience began in 2005 when she purchased two multi-use buildings in SoHo, which she held and managed for a decade. Using a 1031 Exchange, she sold the buildings for a West Village townhouse which she later closed off-market for a significant profit. Since then, Anya has completed numerous transactions and 1031s for her portfolio, with a special passion for historic townhouses. That means she's been through it all — up markets, down markets, losses and gains. Anya's also seen her share of nefarious brokers, which has solidified her dedication to being fair and honest in all dealings, always keeping her clients' best interests at heart.
Before real estate, Anya was a competitive skydiver with more than 2,100 jumps to her credit. More recently, she's turned her attention to strength training which she sees as a refuge from stress. Both pursuits speak to Anya's fearlessness and determination, while her role as the executor of an international conglomerate nods to her savvy business acumen.
Born to a Ukrainian mother and Armenian father, Anya lived in Russia before arriving in the U.S. in 1991. She grew up in Washington DC and moved to New York City in 2004 to attend Eugene Lang College at New School University. After 20+ years in Manhattan, Anya now makes her home in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where she loves the close-knit community and good vibes. A courageous thrill-seeker at heart, she calls raising her two boys the most exciting adventure of all.
