About Barbara

Looking back on her 14 years in Austin, Barbara Erker can’t believe it took her so long to get here. Born and raised in Dallas, she moved to Austin in 2006 with her husband, a big city they love for its small-town vibe. Barbara has been a leading area Realtor® for twelve years earning her brokers license as well as several designations which are a big part of how she continues to make herself stand above the standard real estate agent.

Before launching her real estate venture in 2009, Barbara had a successful career in corporate retail and sales. She adores the sales process and enjoys using her unique skill set to help demystify the process for her clients, and help them refine what they want. Working with both buyers and sellers, Barbara knows how complicated the process can be, and how important it is for clients to have a passionate and knowledgeable advocate on their side.

Barbara’s client-first philosophy shines through in her service of multiple generations of the same family. Referrals are the lifeblood of Barbara’s work. Barbara cherishes her Lake Travis community enjoying everything it has to offer, including shopping, restaurants, volunteer opportunities, and boating on Lake Travis. She is active in her community of Vineyard Bay and has earned top billing as being the #1 Realtor® for this neighborhood. Barbara believes in supporting various organizations and gives a portion of her commission to Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Central Texas Food Bank, Susan G Komen, Austin Pets Alive, and 365 Pet Connection. Her love of German Shepherds has led to volunteering as a foster and finding this breed the right home and family.
