Bertha was born in Mississippi and moved frequently throughout her childhood, with her family and dad who was in the Air Force. After graduating high school in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she attended the University of South Carolina. Shortly after, she moved to Charlotte and met her (now) husband and married shortly after. Family is important to Bertha and over the years, most of her family and in-laws have migrated to the Charlotte area and live within a few miles of each other.
Since she was a child, Bertha has been obsessed with houses and made the decision to earn her real estate license after her daughters started school. She was the Rookie of the Year in 1998, and the rest is history. Real estate has been a great fit for Bertha and she loves every minute of her job and working with her clients.
Bertha and her husband, David, live in the Cotswold area of Charlotte in the Robinson Woods neighborhood with their two dogs, Penni and Scout. They also have two adult daughters and share the same obsession – sports of any kind from curling (which they have done) to college and major league sports! Bertha also has a creative side and enjoys painting, gardening, interior design and decorating as well as playing tennis and traveling.
