About Betsy
I fell in love with Charlottesville while a student at UVa. After a twenty year ‘detour’ in D.C. – where I became a filmmaker, married, started my own production company and had two boys – my husband and I decided we wanted a better quality of life than D.C. could offer. So we moved to C’ville in 2006 and it is easily one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
Homes are so much more than their location and square footage. Every home marks a significant chapter in our lives. When we sold our first home, I actually cried a bit, not because I regretted the decision – I was thrilled with our new C’ville home – but because it was inside those walls that we became a family. (Seventeen years later, I still have a small painting of that first house hanging by my front door.)
