Bill Thomas is a bright light when it comes to the real estate industry, and his approach is to simply get to know his clients and building an everlasting relationship. He finds the joy in learning about others while helping create the next “story” in their lives, which also happens to be one of the most important purchases. Bill was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, his real estate journey began during his college years at the University of Michigan where he studied Education and Linguistics, which led him to teaching at two bilingual schools abroad. After his teaching career he went on to owning a successful restaurant, bar, and bakery in Royal Oak, Michigan for over 20 years. His past success has allowed Bill to experience new culture and people in their homes while being up close and personal to their lifestyles. Fast forward, Bill and his husband and business partner Derreck have called the Sunshine State home for over 10 years with their sweet pups Louee and Henry. 

 Beyond Bill’s professional expertise and vast knowledge, he ultimately strives to make a difference in the lives he touches. He commits his time to their church, participating in philanthropic events, and continually raising awareness for the local LGBTQ+ community.

While many real estate agents focus on how they will personally benefit from a transaction, The BTG runs their business a little differently. “We feel an obligation to give back to our community”. For Bill, he manages a growing team that includes multiple buyer specialists along with coordinators for leads, listings, marketing, and closing. The team focuses their business on the Greater St. Petersburg and Greater Tampa Bay area to provide a range of residential real estate services. The Bill Thomas Group spends their time working with Investors, listings, out-of-state-buyers, first-time homebuyers, and Landlords.
