"Have you ever been blown away with how excellent a person is at their job? That was our experience with Brett Holmes as our Provincetown, Cape Cod (Seller's) real estate broker. We interviewed 3 brokers and received a market analyses from each. One gentleman had been in the business for almost 40 years. His listing price was too low and he seemed very low key and disinterested. The second was a woman with the "top producer" rating in PTown (we later read many brokers are listed as "Provincetown's Top Producer"...). She wanted to list our condo with the highest price point, but she wasn't very attentive. Then there was Brett. He came in as knowledable, enthusiastic, attentive, friendly and he had a well thought out strategy as to why he would list our place at a price that turned out to be in between the other two. This wasn't a simple sale - it came during a pandemic, with a first-time buyer tenant in place intent on purchasing our condo, a neighbor who is a cray cray bully and buyers using an attorney who had seemingly never done a real estate purchase and sale or closing before - never mind a 1031 exchange. What could go wrong? Brett was patient, respectful, so incredibly professional, detail-oriented, savvy and basically our therapist for 8 weeks. I wish I was kidding, but it's true. His timing and pricing strategies were spot on with offers that were well over the asking price. I don't think we would have received such strong offers had we initially listed at a higher price.
