About Caitlin

Caitlin Wertz-Cowden may be a more recent addition to the Wertz Group, joining the team in 2021, but she brings a lifetime of exposure to residential real estate thanks to the influence of her very close and successful family.

Prior to joining the family business, Caitlin was a practicing registered nurse in women’s healthcare where she lived out her passion of helping others every day. However, almost two years into COVID-19, Caitlin – like thousands of nurses nationwide – felt burnt out by the pandemic. This inspired her to transition to real estate.

As a Tampa native, Caitlin knows the market intimately. Pairing this knowledge with her effective communication skills, empathy and understanding of people, Caitlin has found that nursing and real estate aren’t so different. She believes this is what makes her stand apart from the crowd and has aided her to have an already successful career in real estate where she continues to care for people’s needs in a different way.

When she’s not helping others find their perfect home, you’ll find Caitlin pursuing her favorite hobby, baking up some sweet treats in the kitchen-- so don’t be surprised if you end up with some home baked goodies at closing! If she’s not in the kitchen, you’ll likely find Caitlin spending time with her husband, Mat and their golden retriever, Palmer.
