For more than 25 years, she has been a driving force in the fight against juvenile diabetes through her work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Her leadership earned her the prestigious Living and Giving Award at the JDRF Promise Ball. She also served as Chair of the JDRF Childrenās Congress in Washington, D.C., where she worked with 200 families from all 50 states to advocate for increased research funding.
