Carrie Babbington Hillegass is a fourth-generation Washingtonian with a lifetime of experience working in every neighborhood across this great city and surrounding regions in Maryland and Virginia. Growing up, Carrie supported her mother’s real estate business, and learned at a young age that the hard work that goes into real estate is worth the reward: the joy realized when individuals, couples and families buy and sell their homes.

Prior to her real estate career, Carrie worked for twenty-two years as a teacher and educator in some of the city’s leading public, private and public charter schools. She has witnessed firsthand the tremendous growth in Washington’s real estate market and explosive opportunities for investors and individuals. Her unique perspective on the evolution of this city, its neighborhoods, school systems, and politics enables Carrie to provide insights that few real estate agents can match.

Year after year, Carrie is consistently recognized as one of Compass Real Estate’s Top Producers, with total sales exceeding $175M working with the #1 brokerage in the DMV market.

As a wife, mother of three girls, and resident of D.C., Carrie is passionate about helping her clients navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives: buying and/or selling their homes.
