"I lived in my Barcroft neighborhood for about 40 years, and as far back as I can remember, Casey O’Neal has been a presence here, a neighbor himself who really knows all about this market! Over the years, I would get cards from Casey and, later, emails with information about real estate in the neighborhood and the county at large. Then two years ago I started working with Casey to get ready to sell my house. I did speak to another agent at the time, but Casey’s concern, knowledge and attention to detail convinced me that he was the right choice to take on my listing. We firmed things up last fall and I signed the listing agreement with him. He was clear with me that I needed to do some home improvements to get top dollar, so he made a list of projects and got me two bids. "We recently worked with Casey O'Neal to sell our home in Arlington, and we couldn’t have been happier with the process or the result. We were fortunate to have a very open-ended timeline, and Casey helped us throughout a process that ended up taking close to two years, entirely due to our needs. Throughout he continually showed extraordinary patience, deep knowledge of the local market, and was an unerring source of excellent advice. We’ve actually known Casey for almost a decade as a friend and neighbor, initially from going to his open houses when we were looking for advice on how to renovate our house. Even when he hardly knew us, Casey kindly shared his thoughts on what investments would add value to the property and what should be deprioritized, which positioned us well to ride the increase in home values and then overcome the high interest rates that prevailed when we were finally ready to sell in 2023.Casey is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and open, as well as very relaxed and low pressure, so we knew that hiring him as a sellers’ agent would be a good decision. We actually had a handshake agreement over a year before our sale, and he helped us find a good buyers’ agent in another state, whom he knew through professional associations. "In 2019, we made the decision to put our house on the market in the springtime of 2020 and retire to Washington state. We didn’t know how much lead-time might be required to sell, as we’d been in our home for 28 years!
