Catherine O’Toole is an Executive Managing Director in Compass’s New York office, bringing more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate. Over the course of her career, she has completed transactions totaling more than three million square feet. She is widely recognized for her deep market knowledge, strong branding expertise, and her ability to advise a diverse range of prominent retail and office clients.
Mrs. O’Toole has developed a particular niche in sourcing and transacting off-market properties for sale, where she provides a high level of discretion for both buyers and sellers. She is also well versed in complex financial structures, including loan modifications and assumptions for commercial properties.
She began her career at Federated Department Stores, where she spent 12 years building the foundational relationships that helped launch her successful career in commercial real estate. Today, she represents properties throughout Manhattan, with a focus on Midtown South, SoHo, NoHo, Tribeca, and Nolita. Throughout her career, she has received numerous industry awards in recognition of her achievements.
Prior to joining Compass, Mrs. O’Toole served as an Executive Managing Director and Principal at Lee & Associates. Earlier, she was a Partner at Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate and previously a Principal and Partner at the former Tarter Stats O’Toole firm. She is licensed to practice real estate in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
