"Cathy is an amazing real estate agent! My husband and I were not the easiest of clients. We started out wanting to buy a house near Westlake in Lost Creek or the Courtyard. It was hard finding a home in such an expensive area within our budget, but Cathy managed to find some great places. I cannot tell you how many houses Cathy took us to around Westlake, and she never complained. Unfortunately, after all her hard work, we switched gears and decided to buy in Mueller. Cathy found us the perfect home in an area that we love! She worked so tirelessly during the whole process from searching for a home to closing on it months later. One of the things we love most about Cathy is she is extremely trustworthy and genuine and you always know you are getting an honest opinion from her. She is extremely knowledgeable about the current real estate market and the process of buying a home. Even when we switched to mueller, she quickly learned the area and got us great viewpoints on the different builders. We asked her tons of questions and she never seemed frustrated or annoyed - on the contrary she answered every question promptly and enthusiastically. And when it came to the walk-thru, she made sure everything was exactly as promised and we were happy before the closing. Cathy checks in with us every few months or so to see how we are enjoying our new home (we are still loving it!)."
"Cathy sold my residence in Lost Creek essentially prior to first listing date. She took an active interest in ensuring my home was show worthy and added many personal touches including adding plants and actually planting flowers in front and back.
Every promise was executed correctly, on time.
I highly recommend Cathy to be your realtor of choice."
"We love Cathy. She is not only a great real estate agent but also a great person. We sold our house in June/2018 in Travis Heights. A modern house that we would have love to move with us.
Cathy was very professional. She did many open houses, worked on decorating the house for each event and managed the whole process as she was part of our family (we were not living in Austin at the time so she was fully in charge of everything).
We interviewed many agents before deciding to work with Cathy and we made the right choice. Our experience with Cathy was excellent."
"“We began our search for a home in Austin (relocating from Silicon Valley). I cold-called Cathy as she had a listing I liked. It turned out that the house wasn’t right for us so Cathy went to work showing me the different areas of Austin. She found the PERFECT lot and equally perfect builder. We trusted her 1000% and bought the lot unseen, save for the photos and videos she sent us. She has the patience of a saint, a wicked fun sense of humor and is a consummate professional. I don’t call her my realtor any longer. I call her my friend.
"Cathy Romano is truly the most amazing realtor I have ever used. After 6 mths of a very painful listing with an agent who promised everything then delivered absolutely nothing, we decided to closely vet out our next agent. On the same day that we interviewed Cathy, she had an offer on our home at full price before we ever signed the contract to use her. She does her homework and takes the journey from start to finish with you, holding your hand through the entire process. She truly cares about her clients and takes the time and effort to get the job done."
Cathy Romano's interpersonal and communication skills, unique knowledge of the Austin neighborhoods and experience living on the waterfront for over 30 years has made her a highly sought-after realtor. She was top of her class her first year in real estate and in a short time earned several other subsequent awards and recognition in the industry.
Cathy grew up in Seattle and is a Cum Laude graduate with a BA in Hotel Administration from Washington State University where she also played collegiate tennis. Cathy's career path took her from stockbroker to marketing rep for a promotional products company, where her accounts included Livestrong, Polycom, Convio and Austin Java. After that, she put her writing skills to work and is a published author.
After an international assignment in France, Cathy and her family landed in Texas in 1991. She, her husband, Bob, and their three grown children have enjoyed living in Austin and have taken advantage of great schools, food, music and all the many outdoor activities that continue to make ATX so desirable.
Cathy considers it an honor and privilege to represent her clients and help them accomplish their real estate goals. Her endorsements and referrals are proof of that.
In her free time, Cathy enjoys living on Lake Austin and all the many activities that it offers. Her "off" lake activities are tennis, golf, hiking, and creating personalized books. She is also on the board of Drive A Senior Central Austin and loves helping with their mission to enrich the lives of seniors by offering them free rides, friendship and other support services.
