After a successful career as a semiconductor engineer and executive, Jim made the decision to pursue his passion for real estate. Jim earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering. He’s defined and developed over $3B worth of integrated circuits for demanding applications like automotive safety and high-availability servers. He founded a fabless semiconductor company and co-invented a communications protocol that’s been adopted by the world’s largest electronics companies. He’s been granted 10 US patents.
Originally from the East Coast, Jim moved across the country twice before settling in Austin in 1997. He has a passion for live music and can’t get enough of the blues. He’s a great carpenter and auto mechanic and owns two antique trucks. His love of travel has brought him to 30 countries, 46 states, and Puerto Rico.
