A Manhattanite for over 13 years, Chanya brings her local knowledge and enthusiasm to work as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson. Born in the Netherlands, and having lived in Brussels, Connecticut, New Jersey, Israel, and finally in New York, Chanya knows about the stresses of moving and works hard to make it a smooth-sailing process for her clients.

Chanya is a charismatic, knowledgeable, honest, direct, and attentive real estate professional who pulls from her finance and sales backgrounds to get deals done; 200 deals and counting. Chanya has a talent for matching customers with the perfect home that suits their needs. She leaves no stone unturned when working to translate her clients’ apartment wishes into reality, within reason. Chanya is meticulously organized and works with sellers and landlords to create a custom marketing plan to ensure success. She has experience selling a variety of homes in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, ranging from studio resale apartments, to townhouses, to new development penthouses. Chanya has also been involved with real estate deals in the Hudson Valley Region, The Hamptons, Hoboken, Weehawken, Jersey City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Amsterdam, and Tel Aviv.

A staunch advocate for her clients, Chanya enjoys meticulously analyzing every deal in order to bring confidence and calm to the real estate transaction. Chanya is committed to excellence and utilizes her extensive resources to ensure optimal results for her clients.

As a former member of the Board of her Gramercy Co-op for 6 years, Chanya has an in-depth understanding of the workings of a building and a co-op board, and enjoys educating her clients about the renting, buying, and selling processes.

An active supporter of the Tenement Museum and Landmark Preservation Commission, Chanya is enamored by the stories behind every apartment, building, block, park, and graveyard in New York City. When not working, Chanya can be found at a dog park with her mini poodle mix named Gram (Gramercy), on a CitiBike, at a delicious restaurant with many pescatarian options, or at a cocktail bar with friends. In the winter, you might spot her at a museum or Jewish lecture series, or surrounded by travel guides or historical tomes in one of NYC’s great Public Libraries. Chanya resides in a condo in the Union Square area with her husband, new baby, and dog.
