Charles is an agent on the John Barbato Team with over five years of experience buying and renovating luxury homes. Originally from California, he made the move to NYC and hasn’t looked back. He’s now New York or nowhere.

Before real estate, Charles spent more than a decade in tech, starting as a receptionist and working his way up to director-level product roles at companies like Airbnb, Adobe, Vimeo, and Microsoft. His background in software gives him a unique perspective on how people live and work, especially when it comes to creating spaces that support both focus and flexibility.

He also has a background in luxury handbag consignment, which has given him a strong eye for design and an understanding of high-end clients and their lifestyles.

Now based in Chelsea, Charles is an avid supporter of local, small artists and a proud cat dad to two British Shorthairs. When he’s not helping clients find their ideal home, he’s usually exploring new teahouses with his husband, bookmarking local boutiques to check out, or getting in a workout—whether it’s at Equinox or a run through Central Park.
