Chris Ritchey is a distinguished luxury real estate agent, renowned for his deep expertise and exceptional service in the Hamptons market. As one of the founding agents of Compass in 2014, Chris played a pivotal role as a member of the Scholz Team in Manhattan. He was instrumental in repositioning the largest NYC residential deal in 2015, overseeing Blackstone’s acquisition of a $700 million portfolio of 24 buildings, which his team swiftly repositioned to a valuation exceeding $1 billion.

Chris transitioned to the Hamptons full-time, co-founding The Hovey | Ritchey Team. The team earned national acclaim, ranking among the top 1.5% of over 1.6 million real estate professionals in the United States by the Wall Street Journal in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

In 2023, Chris joined The Hudson Advisory Team, the #1 Mega Team in New York as ranked by the Wall Street Journal. The Hudson Advisory Team has conducted over $5 billion in real estate sales across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Hamptons since 2017, with over $1.2 billion in transaction volume completed in 2024 alone.

Raised on his family’s horse farm—home to Preakness and Belmont winner Afleet Alex—Chris embodies the equestrian lifestyle. He is a member of the Compass Equestrian Division, connecting clients with a network of agents who share a passion for equestrian living. Chris actively competes and trains with Rebecca Robin of Robin Stables at Twin Oaks Farm in Bridgehampton.

Beyond his real estate endeavors, Chris is deeply committed to his community. He serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for C.T.R.E.E. (Center for Therapeutic Riding of the East End) and co-chairs their annual Horses Changing Lives Benefit at Sebonack Golf Club. Additionally, he is an active volunteer with East End Cares, demonstrating his dedication to making a positive impact in the Hamptons.
