Cameron Cummings
In June of 2001, Cameron’s family moved from Portland, Oregon, his place of birth, to Lakeway, Texas, a small, quiet, resort and retirement community on the outskirts of Austin. It was the summer before Cameron’s eighth-grade year. Cam attended and played football at Lake Travis High School, played guitar to impress girls and then, after high school, struck off to attend MI, the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. Cameron has been an actual, official, licensed real estate agent for over a decade now, but his primary real estate education started when he was a small child, going with his parents and sister from open house to open house and helping them fix up their latest investment properties. Yes, real estate is in his blood.
In 2008, when Cameron became an officially licensed agent and struck out on his own, he decided to cut his teeth in the West Campus and downtown rental markets working for a UT campus-area brokerage. He then moved on to serving residential buyers, sellers, and investors, achieving “Top Producer” status at a small downtown luxury brokerage.
Cameron definitely has his finger on the pulse of the downtown scene, having performed with bands at such iconic Austin music venues as Antone’s, The Continental Club, and other clubs throughout Central Austin’s entertainment district, including Rainey Street. Cameron knows Austin. That shouldn’t be surprising because truth be told, Cameron has been exploring downtown Austin and its neighborhoods since high school.
Cameron’s unique insight into what makes Austin a weird, but very special, place gives him an edge in anticipating upcoming Austin trends and in marketing his sellers’ homes. His wealth of experience, living in the milieu of Austin for over a decade, is invaluable in guiding home buyers to help them find the right house in a place with just the right amount of weirdness.

Cyndi Cummings
After graduating from Beaverton High School (the Beavers) in Beaverton, Oregon, Cyndi Cummings put herself through Oregon State (also the Beavers), earning a degree in Business Administration. The two jobs she worked simultaneously throughout college paid for 100% of her college expenses, including room and board. She was Pledge Chair. I’m pretty sure Cyndi did not sleep from 1978 to 1982.
Cyndi’s prior experience working in the draperies department at Sears during summers in high school landed her a job after college managing a retail clothing store in a very scary part of downtown Los Angeles. But Sears saved her, calling her back to Portland in 1983 to sell something called “personal computers” from their newly started “Sears Business Systems Center” retail outlets. The computers had 8” floppy drives, 64k of memory, 4-inch screens, weighed forty pounds, and cost $3,000 (in “1983 dollars”). She sold them like hotcakes.
With a young family, Cyndi worked a number of roles, including an office job at a position that was new to the industry; something called a “Computer Systems Administrator.” She went on to work for a couple of newly started companies named Apple and Microsoft. (Bill Gates is terrible at karaoke, by the way.) On weekends, Cyndi and her family toured open houses. At night they worked at fixing up their investment properties.
Cyndi also had a part-time business appearing on local Portland TV stations as “The Computer Mom,” advising parents and families and answering their questions about this new dominating presence in their lives … the personal computer.
Always deeply involved with her children’s activities and education, Cyndi managed and organized numerous fundraising auctions and other events in support of their schools. And, of course, she was an officer in the Junior League.
In June of 2001, Cyndi and her family landed in a very hot place called Lakeway, a small community on the outskirts of Austin, Texas. A year later, Cyndi found herself President of the Lake Travis Education Foundation. Their annual auction that year raised more money than had ever been raised in any previous auction.
2002 was also the year Cyndi decided to get into real estate in a serious way. The kids were a little older now and the time was right. In her first year, Cyndi won “Rookie of the Year” at her 200+ person brokerage, and was presented with the “Eagle Award,” the highest honor that particular company bestows on its agents. Countless transactions later, Cyndi’s life in real estate is now in its twentieth year. How time flies.
Always busy with charity groups and other civic activities, Cyndi has, over the years, accumulated numerous civic awards such as the “Unsung Hero” by the Lakeway Chamber of Commerce and currently is Board President of AustinUP, Board Secretary of Chariot (formally Drive a Senior), founder of Austin Senior Resource Alliance, and a founder of the non-profit LT Senior Services.
In 2013, Cyndi decided to concentrate on serving older adults during times of transition. She founded a consortium of service providers called the Austin Senior Resource Alliance to provide a one-stop-shop for older adults and their families seeking services and advice from trusted specialists. These specialists include estate and probate attorneys, in-home doctors and caregivers, auction and estate sale organizers, movers, handymen, and others. In 2015, Cyndi was appointed to “Austin UP,” the mayor’s initiative to improve the quality of life for all of Austin’s older adults.
Cyndi teaches more than thirty state-approved classes to other real estate agents in cities all over Texas and on cruise ships at sea. (Of course, she organizes the cruises.) Cyndi is, in fact, a “Realtor’s Realtor;” an agent other agents go to when they have questions.
Cyndi has created a unique added service that she offers to her sellers. It is a “concierge” moving experience called “Turnkey Transitions” which provides her clients and their families with not only an MLS listing and top-tier marketing, but invaluable hands-on help with arduous, daunting tasks such as sorting, selling off, staging, moving out, moving in, and, finally, setting up of her clients’ new homes.
This unique optional service is, by the way, also available to any client who doesn’t want to lift a finger when they move, regardless of their stage of life.
Cyndi is a licensed broker and she serves both buyers and sellers in all price ranges and in all stages of life.
