"I highly recommend working with Cynthia if you're in the market for a new home. She is extremely patient, responsive and never pressured us into a decision. She knows the Brooklyn area very well and provided us with an in-depth understanding of each neighborhood. She is very dedicated to her clients and looked out for us every step of the way in the purchasing process. We always felt comfortable being completely honest with her about properties, goals, like, dislikes, etc. She is warm and personable but has sharp eyes and ears out for her clients. Anyone looking for a new home should definitely reach out to her!" - Daniel
"Cynthia has been my agent for the renting of two apartments in the house I own in Windsor Terrace. I can’t speak too highly about her. She advised on the units’ strong and weak points, helped me get painting and repairs done before I could put one apartment on the market, took good photos and generally moved everything forward expeditiously. In one case, she found me an excellent tenant in just one day, in the other, in two days. She is sympathetic, trusted by my tenants as well as me, I’m pretty sure. I highly recommend her!" - Anne
"Cynthia is a true professional! She worked tirelessly as our listing broker and kept us posted on any developments. She listened to our needs, responded quickly and with great advice each time. We couldn't be happier with the results and give Cynthia full credit for being a savvy, friendly and effective broker!" - Jennifer
"Helped me rent a home in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York, NY 11215.
Cynthia helped my find my first rental apartment in Brooklyn, I was moving from Chicago and it was my first time living in the city. I am currently under international status and my source of funds also being international made it very hard for me to navigate the city's competitive market. Most of the real estate agents I spoke to would have a very negative attitude and tell me that I would have to pay an entire year of rent in advance (!) or pay exorbitant amounts for a guarantor company. Although there were moments where that option was brought up, Cynthia persevered where most people just gave up and ended up finding me a lovely and spacious apartment in the location I wanted without any of these requirements. It wasn't all roses but I honestly don't know what I would have done if Cynthia had not helped me. When I move in the future I will want to work with no one else but her."
"Cynthia helped us rent our home. She was incredibly helpful as we were working with a very tight deadline and had just had a baby so we were going through a bit of a transition. Cynthia was very detail oriented and very quickly took care of all the outstanding items so that we can move forward with getting our home. She was fully dedicated to getting the job done and we felt fully supported by her. We were so happy that we were able to get our dream home. We are very grateful for her service and highly recommend her."
Cynthia has had a long-running love affair with cities. She attained a master's degree in urban studies and now practices a true passion: real estate. As a savvy young investor in the early 2000s, she amazed people around her with a keen eye for spotting undervalued properties. While studying for her Ph.D. at the University of Miami in Florida, Cynthia became an investor and a believer in the potential of Miami's scruffy downtown neighborhoods. She even hosted a bilingual talk radio show called Urban Vision that explored the process of buying and selling real estate for novices. Today, the zip code in Miami where she invested 16 years ago is considered one of the most luxurious places to live in that global city.
In 2006, as a young mother, Cynthia set off (pushing a stroller) in search of her next investment. Cynthia is a listener and an avid student of neighborhood history, and her gut told her that sleepy Windsor Terrace was an undervalued gem that would become her next successful investment project. Once again, her intuition proved correct, and this Brooklyn neighborhood became one of the most desirable areas in the borough for families, with home prices tripling in the past decade.
Cynthia loves dividing her time between her home base in New York and her hometown of South Florida where she still problem-solves for her tenants and wrangles contractors and construction projects for her investments. Cynthia brings with her an extensive database from her many years of working as an executive producer in live television. Her contacts include lawyers, mortgage brokers, and architects, as well as many other key pieces of the real estate puzzle that help to make any deal possible. She understands the importance of research and of being patient and organized - not to mention being prompt to appointments.
Cynthia is a world-traveler, a Ph.D. student of international comparative studies, and is fluent in Spanish and English - which make her an excellent candidate for clients with an international background. Plus, she already has plans of investing in the future in her country of origin: Cuba…so stay tuned!
