Damond is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a degree in Sociology. A Boston native and a Brookline High School alumni, Damond has a wealth of knowledge about The City of Boston and its many neighboring cities, and towns.
Damond gained extensive knowledge as a property manager and as a leasing agent in the Boston area. He had sole management responsibility his family's investment property portfolio while also operating a retail liquor store business in Dorchester. The store, started by his grandfather, was in his family over forty years.
Ultimately it was his desire to do something for the collective good of society which lead Damond to the world of public education and youth services. Working for both the Boston and Cambridge Public Schools, Damond was a program director and consultant for after school programs and youth initiatives. The father of three boys, Damond values education immensely. As the former Chief Operating Officer for The Cornerstone Foundation for Youth Leadership and Development, Damond acquired a national perspective regarding the value of public school systems and service programs for youth across The USA.
