"If I had a few key words to describe Daniel, all of which comprise a recipe for success in an uber-competitive and unpredictable real estate deal market like Manhattan, they would be ā€œanalytical, thoughtful, methodical, poised, persistent, organized, problem-solver, detail-oriented.ā€ With these attributes, many of which undoubtedly stem from his background as a lawyer and project manager, I knew Daniel was the right broker to assist me in navigating the difficult market in Manhattan and securing just the right apartment that would meet all of my criteria within a limited period of time. Understanding my criteria, Daniel was able to arrange showings and make recommendations right away on potential candidates and was extremely helpful in narrowing the choices ultimately to the right one or two finalists by explaining the pros/cons of each candidate in a very analytical way, including thoughts about true value, expected economic returns, appreciation potential, etc. When it came time to submitting an offer and going into , Daniel’s poise, persistence and problem-solving ability were truly exemplified in the result that we were able to secure, and at certain critical points, save, a deal for an extremely competitive condo in a prime location and building with a sale contingency, which is a rarity for Manhattan real estate. Daniel was able to mobilize quickly the team of bankers and lawyers needed to perform diligence and enter into within the very short window of time we had to work with. All throughout the process, Daniel was actively engaged, accessible and responsive to all of my concerns and queries as a first-time homebuyer in Manhattan, always making me feel like my deal was important and a priority. From start to closing, which took only 3 months, I could not be happier with my experience with Daniel. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation." - Jacob

"Trustworthiness. It's one of the most important characteristics that a buyer or renter looks for in his broker. When my wife and I were looking to purchase an apartment last year, we knew that the process of searching, finding, evaluating and closing would be a daunting one. We also knew that we needed to have someone on our side whom we truly believed had our best interests at heart. Daniel was that broker. From the first conversations with him about what we were looking for, to working through our expectations, concerns and questions, Daniel was always patient, thorough and genuine in our interactions. When he finally did help us find a , he also helped us find the right team to bring the matter to a successful close. I know that some relationships end there, but Daniel continued to assist us with some matters post closing, including finding wonderful tenants in extremely short order and drafting up lease agreements. Needless to say, this went a long way in solidifying our relationship and making it easy for me to know who to turn to with my all future real estate needs. I have already referred several of my friends to work with Daniel, which I think is the highest endorsement I can give for any professional. Highly recommended!" - Brian

"There's no better way to describe Dan than trustworthy and reliable. I entered the New York City home-buying market without a real understanding of just how tumultuous, emotionally draining, and arduous the process would be. As a first-time buyer, coordinating the many complex steps of the process was a task more challenging than I could have ever imagined. Maybe it’s the New York market, maybe it’s my inexperience – either way, it’s overwhelming. But Dan was a trusted advisor (and, at times, therapist) in all of this, providing insightful guidance into the Brooklyn market with a consistently calm demeanor. I cannot reiterate how valuable this trait of Dan’s is, because once you are knee-deep in the process, emotions will run high. And that’s when you will undoubtedly benefit from an agent like Dan, whose composure and balanced perspective will keep you level (and sane). At the negotiating table, Dan remains his cool and collected self, but is sure to uncover every detail and bargaining chip in your favor. He is also relentlessly dedicated and persistent in chasing the sell-side throughout the process to unearth as much as he can about what the other side is thinking and ensuring that your bid gets maximum mindshare with the seller. Finally, Dan is well-connected with every layer and nuance of the Brooklyn market, being a local homeowner himself and familiar with the best lenders and real estate lawyers in town. In short, Dan is a true partner in the process, invested in your success and, more importantly, happiness with the home-purchasing process. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to help you navigate your journey!" - Ben

"Purchasing a home in New York can be a daunting process and finding a trustworthy broker even more so. Thankfully we were introduced to Dan, who from the minute we met, put our minds at ease. His approach is extremely thoughtful in that he took the time to get to know us and our situation yet he is also very rational and realistic when it came to setting our expectations. He created a simulation that transparently broke down the costs we could expect and worked within our budget to ensure there were no surprises. At no time did we feel pressured or that we were being given a sales pitch. We moved forward and Dan found a home that met our criteria sooner than we had expected. As is typical in New York we were in a bidding war with multiple offers on the table. Dan provided strategic counsel and through his guidance and tactical approach our offer was accepted. We are so thankful to have met Dan and cannot recommend him more highly to anyone who is in the market to find a new home." - KJ and Hannah

"I was in to sell the apartment I had lived in for nearly 20 years, had not found that "bigger place" I had intended to buy, and had less than 2 weeks to find a rental in NYC. I was furiously searching on-line for "no-fee" apartment buildings, making appointments to see apartments in my price range, and fearing the worst. Enter Daniel Chun: He noticed that I had accessed his company's real estate listings and asked if he could be of any assistance. He accompanied me to look at a studio apartment-it was smaller than my office. There was no way I could fit my "stuff" in that box. Daniel sat me down, asked me what I was looking for in an ideal world, and then told me he would take care of it. He also told me that we should not bother looking at the other apartment he had scheduled to show me. I walked back to my soon-to-be- apartment almost sure I would be knocking on my parents' door with all of my possessions in boxes on the curb. A day or two later, Daniel called to tell me we would be spending Saturday looking at apartments. I was very skeptical--but desperate--so off I went. The first apartment we saw was...perfect! The second apartment we saw was...perfect! The third and fourth apartment he showed me were...perfect! I could not believe my eyes. I could envision myself living in each and every apartment we saw that day! I had been running around for weeks looking at apartments I had found on-line and thought would be "perfect" for me, only to find that they were nothing like what I had expected. In one day, Daniel Chun showed me 4 perfect apartments. How did he manage that? He listened, asked questions, and listened some more, until he understood what I wanted and, more importantly, what I needed in a home. Then he helped me decide which one to actually rent--and thank goodness he did, because I truly had no idea what to do! To say that I highly recommend Daniel Chun is truly an understatement. His expertise in everything real estate related, coupled with his ability, determination, and passion for matching people to places, makes him the only real estate agent I will ever use again." - Sharyn
